3 ChatGPT prompts used by writers and bloggers
The digital world has taken another new leap. With the advent of new digital tools and technologies, the globe is continuously adapting to changes that are drawing better efficiency and improving the integration of societies. Inside the realm of writing, the inclusion of AI has created havoc which has some key benefits. Writers are adding AI tools like ChatGPT into their arsenal to become more efficient whether it comes to researching, collecting information, or interpreting data.
Prompting, on the other hand, is another key feature that has been widely celebrated by different professionals for the sole purpose of collecting information that can add value to their tasks. When it comes to writing, AI is understood as a replacement however, with the consideration of practices, the content developed or curated can be quite valuable in the field of writing and blogging. This blog covers the five key prompts that are being used by writers for curating attractive pieces of information and blogs.
1. “…. in bullet points.”
Using the “… in bullet points.” has been quite helpful for bloggers and writers as the prompt orders ChatGPT to present the information in a summarised and ordered manner thereby, drawing a better interpretation of the context. Halley Bondy mentions that “If you tell ChatGPT to write a whole blog post on the spring Christian Dior line at Fashion Week, it’s probably not going to come out great”. Without the right input, ChatGPT is not an expert on niche topics or current events” However, Eduard Fastovski who is fascinated by ChatGPT’s prowess mentions that it can aid in producing subsequent sections for better interpretibility.
2. “Alternative to this”
The skill of writing is connected with the ability to paraphrase. Writers are needed to interpret and break down a certain topic into different chunks, rearranging those chunks while the meaning of the original content is still the same is a rare skill. The “alternative to this” prompt can help the writers in restricting headings and certain phrases that can add value to their content while maintaining the quality and meaning of the text.
3. “Reduce it by X%.”
We as writers are always overwhelmed by our emotions and flow into the stream of feelings. I, in various situations, have crossed the word limits where I have made the article or blog quite lengthy, monotonous, and tedious for my audience. Using the above prompt, decluttering the text has been a lifesaver for me which has enabled me to maintain the boundaries. Funmi Looi Somoye from PCguide.com says “GPT-4 has an input limit of 8,192 tokens. However, in our testing, we were able to input 16,382 instances of the number 1 without issue. The number 1 was chosen, as a character with a very high probability of only requiring 1 token to represent”. Thus, ChatGPT can be used by writers and other professionals to summarise information while adhering to the meaning of information.
In conclusion, harnessing ChatGPT with the knowledge of the approaches that must be followed or adhered to by writers, bloggers, and other professionals can be quite helpful.
